First things first…we need to get to know you and your business! We want to make sure we design something you’ll love and that works for your business.
Fill in your website content planner
Before we start the build, you’ll have the task of gathering or creating your content for each page of your website to give us a clear idea of what you want and where you want it. We have a content planner that will guide you through the process and will aim to start the website once this is complete.
Approve your website map out
An overview of the pages and functionalities we’ll build for you, based on your content planner. You’ll approve this before we start the build.
Share your existing Brand Guidelines and Brand Assets for us to use on the site.
This includes your logo files, brand colours, and fonts, plus any additional graphics/imagery you wish to include. If you don’t yet have branding in place, we recommend you consider our Branding Design Services before we build your website

Week 1-2
Choose your Squarespace plan
Your bespoke Squarespace template will be created and populated with your carefully curated content.
We’ll test away, making sure your website looks good on both mobile and desktop.
During this week there will be an open line of communication with you so we can ask questions and check we’re on the right path.
Domain and email set up.
Week 2-3
First draft presentation. Exciting!
Feedback round one - we’ll ask you to come back with your first round of revision within a few days. This is the main chance to make any major revisions.
Rounds 2 & 3 of revisions
Final website presented
Zoom walkthrough to show you exactly how to edit your website.
Website signed over to you!
2 weeks post-launch support

A full custom website experience takes between 2-6 weeks depending on how much content you have and how many pages you need.
Once you have decided to go ahead, I aim to start your project within 2 months, though this can be longer at busy times. Please check with me if you have a strict deadline.
I take a 25% deposit upfront to book the time in, 50% on the start date agreed, and 25% on delivery.

We aim to have a solid foundation on which to design your new website, so before we start any design work, we’ll work through a comprehensive exploration questionnaire.
We’ll discover everything about your business and your brand, your likes and dislikes when it comes to website design and consider your peers, your competitors and the brands that inspire you to ensure we are building something unique.

A well-crafted website isn’t just about the design. As the expert in your field and the head honcho of your unique business, it’s down to you to provide me with the content for your site.
But don’t worry, I’ll provide you with easy-to-use templates to help you through the process. I’ll also make suggestions as we go and can provide placeholders for imagery. using Squarespace’s brilliant and free content library.

I’ll design your site to fit with your other business communications.
Provide me with your existing branding such as logos, colours, fonts, and any brand guidelines you have in place, and I’ll make sure your website sings it loud and proud.

Once we’ve completed the discovery, and you’ve provided us with your content we’ll book you in for a dedicated build slot.
We’ll kick things off with several Zoom calls to make sure we are ready to go when your build time begins.
During the build, we’ll connect regularly to ensure we’re on the right track at all times.

Depending on your type of business and how you connect with your audience you can expect to see at least 60-70% of your visitors coming from a mobile device. If you’re mainly targetting people on social media, that % might increase further!
The key is to have a website that performs well on all devices. We always ensure that the mobile version looks just as good as the desktop. It’s tricky but essential.

We always build your website with Google in mind! We’ll utilise Squarespace’s built-in SEO tools to ensure your website is optimised for search.
Post-build we’ll help you connect your site with Google Search Console and get your site indexed. We’ll also keep an eye on things for a few weeks and iron out any teething issues with Google.

You’ll no doubt have already thought about or bought your domain, it’s a new business must! I’ll facilitate any transfers and get your website connected with your chosen domain.
All Squarespace plans* have a free (for the first year) custom domain included in the price and all but the most basic plans include a bespoke email address AND a free Google Workspace account too. Winning!
*Please note that your Squarespace plan is billed directly to you and isn’t included in my design fees.

Probably one of the least interesting parts of web design, but an essential one.
Sometimes links get broken and Google really dislikes it when customers are led down the garden path! I’ll create a fun 404 page that directs people back to the home page and apologises for the annoyance.

We’ll provide a thorough video walk-through of the backend plus send you video tutorials on any bits you’re still unsure on. We’ll be on hand via email for a few weeks to ensure you’re getting on ok.
We also offer ‘tidy-up’ sessions where we’ll step in and get your new updates looking perfect. Great for peace of mind!
